An important part of preparing guide dog puppies for their future roles as guide dogs is to expose them to a wide range of real-world places and experiences. Thanks to GDB alumna Cheri Owen and the UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) Women’s Basketball team, ten guide dog puppies gained that experience during a UCSB practice game. Cheri, who is a life coach for UCSB student athletes, was on hand with her guide dog Martinez to cheer the pups on.
