For Annie, receiving a guide dog was about much more than mobility—it was about gaining confidence, companionship, and the freedom to fully embrace life. What began as a partnership with her first guide dog has grown into a lifelong connection that continues to enrich her independence and open new possibilities every day.
In June, twelve teens came together at GDB’s annual Camp GDB for a week of hands-on learning, connection, and discovery. With guide dogs at their side and plenty of sunshine overhead, campers experienced an unforgettable glimpse into guide dog mobility and the independence it can help provide.
