Carol and Brian Gregory of Seattle, Washington, know that raising guide dog puppies is about far more than training—it’s about purpose, community, and connection. Through joyful reunions, heartfelt goodbyes, and a growing community of fellow raisers, they’ve discovered that every puppy leaves a lasting impact—not only on future handlers, but on everyone along the way.

Guide Dog Handlers Face Access Challenges Despite Legal Protections
April marked GDB’s first-ever Advocacy Month, and handlers across the country shared how guide dogs provide enhanced safety, independence, and confidence to their lives. But despite federal protections under the Americans with Disabilities Act, guide dog users still face frequent public access denials, highlighting the need for greater awareness about the role service animals play for people who are visually impaired. GDB alumni Christine and Rob Moreno spoke with Tucson Fox News about their experiences.
Fundraising for April’s Walk for PAWSitive Impact continues through May. This year’s walk celebrated the powerful bond between guide dogs and their handlers, and the community that makes these partnerships possible. Several clients also joined the effort, giving back to support future guide dog teams.
