Holiday Fun: Spread the Cheer and Share the Joy

The holiday season is here — and there’s no better way to celebrate the spirit of giving than with GDB! Join us as we make this season merry and bright for our community, our puppies, and the people we serve. There are so many joyful ways to get involved:

Join the celebration! Attend or support our 49th Holiday Luncheon Fundraiser — a beloved tradition featuring a puppy parade and plenty of holiday magic.

Double your impact! GDB’s Board of Directors has graciously pledged a $100,000 match in support of our life-changing mission and in celebration of our 49th Holiday Luncheon. Every dollar you contribute will be matched up to $100,000.

Get creative and give back! Help celebrate GDB’s 49th Holiday Luncheon by raising funds to support our Puppy Raising Fundamental Support program — because nothing says joy like helping a GDB puppy grow and thrive! Compete to win our Top Dog Fundraising Contest.

Let’s come together to share the love, spread the cheer, and make this holiday season one to remember!

Honoring Veterans: A legacy Rooted in Service

This week, our nation observed Veterans Day—a time to honor those who have served and to reflect on a legacy born in service. At Guide Dogs for the Blind, that legacy runs deep. GDB began in 1942 with a simple but profound purpose — to help blinded World War II veterans reclaim their independence through the partnership of a guide dog. More than 80 years later, that same spirit of courage, compassion, and commitment continues to guide our work with veterans today.

Fire Station Outing Introduces Guide Dog Puppies to Firefighters

For members of the Palo Alto Puppy Club, every outing helps guide dog puppies grow into calm, confident dogs who will one day change lives. On their latest field trip to a fire station, the pups met local firefighters and learned how to stay calm amid flashing lights and loud sirens with encouragement from their raisers.
