We’ve also made it more accessible and easier to find key actionable items like applying for our programs, volunteering, and donating.
After graduating from culinary school and earning an MBA, GDB client Carina Comer was eager to break into the fast-paced food industry. But the road to pursuing her dreams in the food industry posed many challenges. With the support of her guide dog, and help from family and friends, Carina opened her own bakery shop.

As a member of GDB’s client services team, Jason offers emotional support resources to our clients, free of charge. In addition to his clinical knowledge, Jason’s lived experience as a guide handler informs his work.
Our annual Fun Day took on an animal safari-theme. SaFURI celebrated and honored our amazing puppy raising volunteers for their contributions in nurturing future guide dogs and K9 Buddies. Hundreds of puppy raisers and GDB puppies in training donned festive attire. Activities on our California and Oregon campuses included puppy lawn games, Jungle Jenga, a jeep photo booth, guide dog training demonstrations, and a roving scavenger hunt.
