To honor the passion and dedication of our amazing community, we created this site so everyone can stay 'pup-to-date' on the dogs they love after they return to campus for formal training. This first-of-its-kind site will document each dog's individual journey with images and personal notes from GDB staff and volunteers.
This Mother’s Day, GDB graduate Melissa Padron reflects on how her first guide dog, Cameo, brought a sense of calm and confidence to her life throughout her college years, entering the job market, marriage, and motherhood. Now partnered with her latest guide dog, Garbanzo, Melissa says parenting with a guide dog has empowered her to live her life with “freedom, confidence, and dignity.”
